Artist Statement

Moustached Cats orginally came from a sarcastic commentary upon popular culture and the obsession with cats. Domestic cats have existed for 8,000, our relationship with these felines starting in the fertile crescent.

​

I began creating these whimsical felines out of an enjoyment of their form. Adding a moustache just makes sense.

These felines were created from  photolithographic plates, with monoprints underneath the feline drawing.
