Journaling UX - H543 Interaction Design Methods

Scope of the Project:

Throughout the semester, we were asked to identify real-world usability issues that we encountered, collect data about the issue to identify key challenges/pain points, and make design recommendations based on the data you gather.  Selecting any type of usability issue, whether it occurs in a software interface, system, physical product, or real-world scenario.  These were tied to a real-world problem or scenario that we have experienced first-hand and may potentially impact a larger group of users.

A Usability Issue with Mickey Mouse

Upon looking for tickets to visit Walt Disney World over the summer, I was met with a plethora of frustrations with the website.  As I was actually visiting family, I did not have my laptop with me, instead I was using my iPad and my iPhone. I struggled to find pricing options and after a frustrating time, decided that it was best to visit Disney Springs instead.

Animal Unfair Design

I work in animal welfare as a foster parents for cats and kittens. Typically when I foster, I take an animal for some time to care and socialize them until they are adoptable. Once they're back in the shelter, I like to check the website to see their profiles and honestly I
